Coming Up:

No regular Tuesday meetings, only special meetings and Training

8 July 2008 - Sierra Trip training class, Scout Room 7pm.  Preparation for overnight hike.  Bring your backpack gear to meeting for training. $50 deposit for the August Trip is due.

11-13 July 2008 - Sierra Trip shakedown hike to Sugarloaf Mountain near Big Bear.  Must attend 8 July prep meeting.

15 July 2008 -- Mataguay Camp Preparation Meeting, Scout Room. 7pm

21-26 July 2008 -- Mataguay Summer Camp.  Tricia Grame has agreed to help organize.  

29 July 2008 - Sierra Trip training class, Scout Room 7pm

2 August 2008 - Fishing Trip - 6:30am H&M Pt. Loma. Half Day Near shore fishing event.

11-17 August 2008 - High Adventure Sierra Backpack trip for well-qualified scouts.

Troop 20 has a long history in Mission Hills, reaching back to 1918.  We meet on Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM in the Scout Room at the Mission Hills United Methodist Church at 4040 Lark Street.   Troop meetings are Scout-led and adult -supervised.  The Scouts plan and organize their activities with advice and logistics support from the adult leaders and parents.  Activities range from week-long summer wilderness backpacking treks to weekend events, as well as service projects and Court of Honor Dinners.
