The Scouts met at 8:00 AM on a Saturday and donated four hours time to the Aircraft restoration team on board USS Midway (CV-41). They were given the tasks of washing a half dozen fighter and attack planes as well as helicopters. Additionally, they performed some work below deck, moving some equipment.
They were given some behind the scenes tours as part of the deal, including the interior of some of the aircraft on the flight deck, including an E-2C Hawkeye, S-3A Viking, and a C-1 Trader.
Participating were John L., John T., and Mike. They worked with a non-scout volunteer named Dave. |
