Bike Trip 2008 page 1

The Troop assembled at 7AM at the Scout Room, and loaded bikes, and headed east on I-8 towards the desert.  We stopped at Janet’s Montana Café in Alpine for a big breakfast before continuing on to the campground.  There we dropped our gear and ferried up to the top of the route at Scissor’s Crossing.  We covered the 22 miles in 3.5 hours including a stop for lunch.  A map of the route can be seen on the page from our 2007 bike trip on the same route.  The weather was perfect and we arrived in time to enjoy the hot springs pool before cooking up dinner and enjoying a campfire under a zillion stars on a clear night.
