Things we learned backpacking along the Boy Scout Trail from Quail Springs to Indian Cove in Joshua Tree National Park.

·          Habeneros Salsa is HOT! It’ll make your eyes water and make your breathe like you ran 4 miles

·          Watch for lost non-scout campers wearing Elvis sunglasses wandering through the desert asking directions to their campsite carrying only 1.5 liters of water

·          Joshua Tree National Park is in California

·          Sweet and Sour Pork freeze-dried food from Mountain House has chicken base in it. 

·          You can hike at night if the moon is out

·          The funny looking trees in the park are called Joshua Trees—that’s why they named the place Joshua Tree
