Troop 20 ventured this year to the Kern River for Rafting. The Scouts met at the scout room at 4pm and were off to Kernville for the raft trip. Attending were five scouts: Kieran, Clay, Nick M., Travis and Thomas. Adults included Dan, Clyde, Tom K., Tom D., Greg B., Mike F., and John T.

We stopped near the junction of I-15 and 395 for dinner at a truck stop and continued on to the Frandy campground in Kernville arriving at 10:30pm. Put up a fire and sat around a while before turning in.

Saturday morning we were up fairly early and cooked up a breakfast. We walked over to the Eagle Rafting company and got checked in. We did four runs on the river, two before and two after lunch, which was provided. In addition to the raft we also used Inflatable Kayaks. Beautiful weather and cold water! The rafting was completed by 3pm and we relaxed in the afternoon and had a nice dinner and an evening by the fire. The campground was a busy place with people playing football and a church group down at the river playing endless music that all will remember.

Sunday morning we were Up and on the road by 8am and back at the scout room by 12:30pm.
