Where is Mataguay?  MAP

Ten Scouts attended this session of Mataguay Summer Camp:  Tem, John, Mike, Stephen, Nick, Ryan, Clay, Travis, Thomas and Alex.  The Troop was assigned campsite “Cheyenne” in the Blackfoot area of camp not too far from the Blackfoot pool.

Among the merit badges brought home were Aviation, Communications, Basketry, First Aid, Rifle, Woodcarving, Citizenship in the World, Swimming, Camping, Forestry, Cooking,   Leatherwork, Art, and Nature.  All the boys earned two or merit badges and our three youngest scouts completed the Pathfinder program getting a great start on the requirements for advancement.  Stephen, Ryan and John flew in a glider as part of their Aviation Merit Badge experience and had a great time.

The weather was hot and steamy, but it never rained, and the frequent thunderclouds provided some shade, if they stopped swimming occasionally.  Nights were cool and comfortable.

Great time!
