We set up camp as the day was fading around 3:30 PM.  Sunset was about 4:30 PM this far into December.  Our camp was just south of the creek at approximately 32 52’ 27.8”  N and 116 29’ 02.9” W.  The site worked well for us as there was plenty of water nearby and some flat areas for tents and trees for cover.

After setting up tents we cooked dinner, with the Scouts making spaghetti and the adults eating Spanish Paella and Tortellini.  We pumped and filtered water from the stream for cooking. 

Temperatures were cool overnight, but not overly cold.  Great spot for camping!
