Troop Scribe
Description: The Scribe is the troop's secretary. He attends meetings of the Patrol Leaders Council and keeps a logbook of their discussions but is not a voting member. During Troop meetings he records attendance and dues payments and maintains the Troop advancement records.
Responsible to: Assistant senior
patrol leader (and works with the troop committee members)
Qualifications:
Must demonstrate rank and/or merit badge advancement in prior twelve months.
Specific
Duties:
- Attend
and keep a log of patrol leaders' council meetings.
- Record
attendance.
- Record
advancement in troop records and on Troop/Team Advancement chart..
- Work
with appropriate troop committee members responsible for finance, records,
and advancement.
- Set a
good example.
- Wear
the uniform correctly.
- Live
by the Scout Oath and Law.
- Show
and help develop Scout spirit.
- Handle
correspondence appropriately.
